this will never not be hilarious to me
Members of Ukrainian feminist group Femen staged protests across Europe as they called for a “topless jihad.” The demonstrations were in support of a young Tunisian activist named Amina Tyler. Last month, Tyler posted naked images of herself online, with the words “I own my body; it’s not the source of anyone’s honor” written on her bare chest. The head of Tunisia’s “Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice,” reportedly called for Tyler to be stoned to death for her putatively obscene actions, lest they lead to an epidemic. Tyler has since gone quiet, leading some to fear for her safety.
This is awesome. Good on them. This is a fight worth fighting. FUCK ISLAM.
And if any of you stupid misguided sexist pigs want to fight; me and my family will be waiting for you guns loaded. I have absolutely zero tolerance for the inequality and downright evil that’s practiced by Islam on a daily basis.
The oldest person alive was born on April 19, 1897, meaning that April 18th, 1897 was approximately the last time the Earth was inhabited by an entirely different set of people and if you don’t think that’s the realist shit ever then you can get right on outta town.

I’m sitting here looking over my slowly growing collection of comic books, and I’m thinking about why I like them so much. Why is the world so focused on superheroes? I’ve recently really gotten into comic books, and the desire to read is almost insatiable. But why? The answer is simple. I, myself, want to be a hero. Yes, it would be cool to have super powers, but thats not what I mean. I want to be a hero in the purest terms. To help people, save lives, and truly make a difference. Infallibly good, heroes fight purely for justice and the betterment of the world. My personal favorite is Batman. He is just a man, but with inner motivation and dedication, he does what is right. He isn’t a perfect person by any means, but he still believes in making a difference and will never break his morals. So yes, I want to be a hero. Hell, I can even say I wanna be like Batman. And I’m 18 years old. An adult. But does that really matter? Because it isn’t about jumping off a roof with a red sheet knotted around your neck, trying to fly for the first and last time. Its about wanting to be the best person you can be. Better than the average person. My favorite thing to tell people is how much I like to and am able to help others. I really wish I could do more too. But I’m just a man, doing the best I can, which I am proud to say is quite a lot. But I’ll still flip though those glossy pages with vibrant colors, dreaming of doing what those masked vigilantes can do for humanity. Now, I’ve talked about myself this whole time. But I have a sneaking suspicion that to a certain point, everyone else is like this too. We all want to be heroes. Some already are, and some just don’t know how yet.
